Since 1992, YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School has proudly provided young people with the opportunity to overcome past challenges and build brighter futures for themselves and their families. Our one-of-a-kind model combines rigorous academics, hands-on career training, leadership development, and comprehensive wraparound supports that help young people reconnect to education, earn industry-recognized credentials, and prepare for living-wage careers.

Over the past three decades, nearly 4,000 talented and determined young people have earned their high school diplomas through YouthBuild Philadelphia and gone on to pursue college, careers, military service, and leadership opportunities. As they build skills for the future, students also strengthen Philadelphia today by rehabilitating more than 90 homes for low-income families, preparing meals for shelter residents, and helping clean and restore blighted neighborhoods. Through service and leadership, young people learn that they have the power to create positive change in their communities.

Today, the need for YouthBuild is greater than ever. In Fall 2026, we will launch YouthBuild Philly Flex, a new evening cohort that will create opportunity for up to 100 additional young people who are seeking a second chance to earn a diploma, develop career skills, and build a pathway to economic mobility. Your investment will help expand access to education, workforce training, and life-changing supports for young people who are ready to succeed but need someone to believe in their potential.
